Editorial policy

The purpose of the articles on this site is to help patients understand their treatment options before coming in for a consultation. Below we explain how the content is prepared, who is responsible for it, and how it is updated.

Responsibility

The responsible editor of the site is Dr. Dirim Bozok (Prosthodontist (Prosthodontics)). Their background is available on the profile page. Contact: info@dirimbozok.com.

How is content prepared?

1. Topics are chosen from the questions patients actually ask.
2. Drafts are written using current clinical guidelines, systematic reviews and patient-information resources from professional organisations. AI-assisted tools may be used in preparing drafts; no information produced by these tools is used without being checked against a source.
3. Every numerical statement and clinical claim is based on a source shown in the "Sources" section at the end of the page.
4. The draft is read by Dr. Dirim Bozok for medical accuracy and clinical appropriateness. Once the review is complete, the page shows a "Medical review" line along with the review date. On pages where review has not yet been completed, this is clearly stated as "medical review pending".

Source selection

In order of priority, the following are used: international clinical guidelines and consensus reports, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, clinical studies published in peer-reviewed journals, and patient-information pages from official health organisations. Commercial promotional content, forums and sites that do not cite sources are not used.

Updates

Every page shows a publication date and a last-updated date. Content is reviewed at least once a year, and updated sooner if a new guideline or an important study is published. Simply changing the date does not count as an update.

Advertising rules

Content is prepared in accordance with the Regulation on Advertising and Information Activities in Health Services (Official Gazette 12.11.2025, No. 33075): it does not include price or campaign information, claims of superiority, brand promotion, or patient testimonials.

Reporting errors and corrections

If you think there is an error in any content, you can write to info@dirimbozok.com along with the page address. Verified errors are corrected and the page's update date is refreshed.
